Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Medicaid Auditor/Investigator to join SafeGuard Services in a remote capacity. You will conduct audits of Medicaid programs to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements and recover over-payments. Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency are essential.

Responsibilities include data analysis, interviews, documenting findings, and presenting compliance issues with supporting evidence. This role requires US citizenship and is remote nationwide.

Qualifications

• 2 years with BS/BA or 6 years with a HS diploma.
• Experience in accounting or closely related business field.
• Knowledge of internal audit/investigative policies and operating principles.
• Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid or healthcare auditing.
• Strong Research and analytical skills.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and reviews of Medicaid programs to ensure compliance and recover over-payments.
• Perform data analysis and draw conclusions for projects.
• Handle multiple assignments concurrently and document all steps thoroughly.
• Interviews and statements from beneficiaries/recipients and others.
• Identify compliance exceptions and make recommendations for improvements.
• Present issues of concern with data, referencing regulatory violations.
