Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Media Relations Executive to lead our client's media strategy. This fully remote role requires building nationwide media relationships, crafting compelling press materials, and driving coverage across national publications.

You will manage media inquiries, monitor coverage, report on campaign effectiveness, and collaborate with marketing, legal, and executives in a remote-first environment. A 5–7 year track record in PR/communications is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or journalism.
• Demonstrated success in securing media coverage in national publications.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong network of media contacts across diverse sectors.
• Proven ability to write clear, concise, and compelling press materials.
• Experience with media monitoring and analysis tools.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Asana).

• Develop and implement strategic media relations plans to achieve communications goals.
• Identify opportunities for media coverage and proactively pitch stories to relevant journalists and media outlets.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key media contacts nationwide.
• Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
• Monitor media coverage, track key metrics, and report on campaign effectiveness.
• Manage media inquiries and serve as a point of contact for journalists.
• Prepare spokespeople for media interviews and provide media training.
• Assist in developing crisis communication strategies and responses.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and media landscape changes.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams (marketing, legal, executive) in a remote setting.
