Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Media Communications Manager to lead media relations and crisis communications remotely. You will craft press releases, guide global media strategy, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to protect and enhance the brand image from a home office.

The role requires at least 8 years in media relations, a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), and strong storytelling, leadership, and project management skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in media relations/public relations with global scope.
• Bachelor's degree in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated media communications strategies to support business objectives and brand reputation.
• Manage all aspects of media relations, including proactive pitching and reactive responses, building relationships with key journalists and influencers.
• Write and edit high-quality press releases, media advisories, talking points, and other PR materials.
• Oversee crisis communication planning and execution with timely responses.
• Monitor media coverage and analyze campaign performance to provide insights and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with global marketing, PR, and corporate communications teams for message consistency.
• Organize and manage virtual press conferences, media tours, and online events.
• Serve as a primary contact for media inquiries and spokesperson training.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging media platforms.
• Manage external PR agencies and vendors as needed.
