Jobgether is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert (MSc/PhD) for a fully remote, independent contractor role in the United States. You will tackle AI-driven engineering design, physical modeling, simulation, and computational problem-solving across multiple domains.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent expertise.
• Solid understanding of applied mechanics and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Experience in analytical, computational, or simulation-based solutions.
• Knowledge of design, modeling, simulation workflows, and technical validation.
• Ability to translate requirements into mathematical/computational representations.
• Familiarity with geometry, meshes, materials, loads, and solver configuration.
• Proficiency with AI coding agents in engineering workflows.
• Strong coding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver validated results.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate mechanical engineering problems involving design, analysis, simulation, testing, and R&D.
• Translate physical systems, design specs, and requirements into analytical or computational models.
• Develop, modify, and evaluate engineering geometry and meshes for simulation and analysis.
• Configure materials, loads, boundary conditions, contacts, constraints, and solver inputs.
• Conduct simulations across structural, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics applications.
• Evaluate simulation results and ensure models meet physical principles and constraints.
• Create, review, and refine technical tasks to support AI training and evaluation.
• Apply coding-intensive workflows to develop computational solutions and automate processes.
• Use AI coding agents to support implementation and validation.
• Identify errors or limitations in models and propose corrections.
