Job summary

Frontline Source Group - Nationwide Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a remote 4-6 week project to review, validate, and finalize mechanical designs for specialized equipment and systems. You will analyze structural aspects, perform HVAC load calculations, and ensure documentation meets client specs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience with custom fabricated equipment or heavy fabrication.
• Experience performing structural and load calculations for lifting systems.
• HVAC load calculations for portable or packaged units.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks (Simulation) and STEP geometry.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to work remotely

Responsibilities

• Review and validate mechanical designs in CAD like SolidWorks and Inventor.
• Provide technical oversight to designers and drafters for fabrication documents.
• Conduct structural analysis of weldments and support framing for lifting systems.
• Calculate heating, cooling, and ventilation loads for containerized systems.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and external consultants on documentation.
• Review drawings, weld schedules, BOMs, and inspection requirements for fabrication.
• Ensure documentation complies with codes, client requirements, and QL-3 standards.
