Job summary

RISINGSUN TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and verification of Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) Mechanical Balance of Plant systems for a nuclear project. This remote role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements and quality standards from concept through production.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering and at least 4 years in a regulated industry; preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 4 years engineering experience in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop system design specifications and perform FMEA.
• Oversee piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and related diagrams.
• Manage product and system requirements and flow-down.
• Evaluate design alternatives and conduct trade studies.
• Lead system validation and testing activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to complete designs.
• Apply lean methodologies and design-to-cost principles.
• Support new product and technology development.
• Implement corrective actions from quality audits.
