Turing Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to contribute engineering insight to AI-focused projects, design real-world mechanical and manufacturing problems, and document clear, structured solutions for evaluation.

This remote contractor role requires 4+ years of engineering experience, a B.S. in a relevant field, proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360) and familiarity with FEA/CFD, plus strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360) and engineering analysis methods (FEA, CFD) preferred.
• Strong English communication and technical reasoning skills.
• Comfortable using web-based tools for annotation and review.

Responsibilities

• Design and solve real-world mechanical and manufacturing engineering problems to test AI reasoning.
• Write clear, structured solutions covering mechanical design, materials selection, failure analysis, and production methods.
• Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with engineering principles.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine AI understanding of simulation reasoning, calculations, and industry standards (ASME, ISO, ASTM).
