Job summary

SaidGig seeks a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to apply advanced mechanics for AI training, spanning design, analysis, and R&D. You will help AI systems interpret and solve complex engineering challenges, with no prior AI experience required.

The role focuses on FE methods, experimental validation, and clear feedback to improve AI reasoning, with remote collaboration across distributed experts and project participants. A doctoral or equivalent background is preferred.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, analysis, or R&D.
• Expert knowledge of mechanics, statics/dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, FEA, vibration analysis, structural analysis, and manufacturing.
• Ability to analyze complex systems via finite element methods, hand calculations, and experimental validation.
• Familiarity with ASME BPVC, ASME codes, standards bodies, and design-for-reliability practices.
• Professional English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran, CAD platforms, or related product R&D in manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and solve advanced mechanical engineering problems spanning design, structural and thermal analysis.
• Review AI-generated technical responses for correctness and engineering quality.
• Apply practical engineering judgment to real-world design and analysis scenarios and theoretical questions.
• Analyze mechanical systems using FEA, statics and dynamics, thermodynamics, and vibration analysis.
• Provide domain expertise and clear written/verbal feedback to improve AI reasoning and performance.
• Collaborate remotely with distributed experts and project participants.
