Job summary

OpenTrain AI is recruiting a Mechanical Engineering AI Evaluator to assess AI-generated mechanical engineering content and workflows. You will use practical experience with tools, machines, equipment, and mechanical systems to judge the accuracy, rigor, and technical soundness of generated work.

The evaluation work covers designs, drawings, specifications, technical responses, and related engineering artifacts.

Qualifications

• At least four years of professional experience as a mechanical engineer or in a closely related role.
• Experience designing, evaluating, or maintaining mechanical products, equipment, or systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong written English communication.
• Careful judgement about engineering requirements and quality.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated mechanical designs and technical drawings.
• Review system specifications and related mechanical artifacts.
• Assess equipment design and mechanical troubleshooting scenarios.
• Judge specification compliance and technical precision.
• Evaluate whether designs are rigorous and technically sound.
• Provide clear expert feedback on strengths, weaknesses, and required improvements.
