Job summary

MATTR is seeking a Mechanical Designer to create accurate sales drawings and 3D models for customized underground storage tank solutions. You will use SolidWorks and AutoCAD, interpret customer requirements, and collaborate with sales, engineers, manufacturing, and customers to ensure compliant designs.

With 0–3 years of experience and SolidWorks proficiency, you will contribute to continuous improvement, first-time quality, and rapid, reliable design support in a global environment.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks, 3D design, drafting or mechanical design training or coursework.
• 0–3 years of experience; new graduates welcome.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate technical sales drawings and 3D models for underground storage tank solutions using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Interpret customer requirements, site-specific specifications, and applicable regulatory standards to meet customer needs and compliance.
• Collaborate with sales reps, distributors, product engineers, applications engineers, manufacturing teams, and customers to clarify requirements and deliver design support.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance first-time quality, productivity, and process documentation.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong communication to ensure on-time delivery of drawings.
• Develop expertise in Xerxes products and customer applications through mentorship and cross-functional collaboration.
