Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie, TX, is seeking an Engineering & Technology Manager (ETM) to lead the Future Interceptor development program. You will own cost, schedule, and technical planning, manage risk, and coordinate with customers and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.

You will drive technical direction, champion best practices, and mentor a cross-disciplinary team to deliver high-performance missile defense hardware and sustain program execution across development and production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in mechanical design for development and production in aerospace or similar industry.
• Project Technical Lead Experience is required.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and teamwork with internal teams and external customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including diplomatic issue resolution, is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
• Experience with Computer Aided Design (PTC CREO or Solidworks preferred).
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Direct cost, schedule, and technical planning for Future Interceptor development efforts
• Partner with Production Operations and Development Engineering IPTs to smoothly transition products into production.
• Lead development activities and reviews, including design assurance and system-level customer reviews.
• Lead investigation teams, diagnose technical anomalies, and deliver clear, actionable reports.
• Develop accurate Basis of Estimates (BOEs) to support new business proposals.
• Expand the team’s technical capability through gap assessments, training plans, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
• Manage employee development, performance reviews, and salary planning to build a high performing, motivated workforce.
