Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (related field) is required.
• Experience in the HVAC/R industry is preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong time and task management skills.
• Ability to multitask under deadlines and work in a team environment.
• Excellent leadership, organization and communication skills.
• Healthcare design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations for projects.
• Design and plan layouts of equipment, duct and piping systems.
• Develop HVAC design from concept through construction drawings using Revit.
• Provide application engineering including sequence of operations, load calculations, psychrometrics, and refrigeration.
• Engage in field engineering, aiding project execution, trade coordination and document management.
• Understand code requirements.
• Participate in turnover meetings to identify scope, risks and budgets.
• Collaborate with preconstruction to convert bid scope into design documents.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure shared understanding of project scope and execution.
• Drive quality control through on-site visits and punch lists.
