Job summary

National Design Build Services LLC in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to HVAC design and build projects from concept through construction drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (related field) is required.
• Experience in the HVAC/R industry is preferred.

• Healthcare design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations for projects.

• Engage in field engineering, aiding project execution, trade coordination and document management.

• Collaborate with preconstruction to convert bid scope into design documents.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure shared understanding of project scope and execution.
• Drive quality control through on-site visits and punch lists.

Position Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer at NDBS is involved in all aspects of the HVAC design / build process. From project conception through the details of design and field coordination, you will work with our staff of experts sharing and gaining practical knowledge and experience unmatched in this industry. This position is responsible for delivering project design assignments within time and budget parameters while satisfying client contracts, either through a team of engineers or individually.

• Design and Technical:
  • Perform load calculations for projects.

  • Collaborate with operations department to ensure a shared understanding of project scope and overall project execution
  • Drive quality control through on site project visits and punch list creation.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related Engineering field, Mechanical preferred
• Related experience in the HVAC/R industry
• Self-motivated with excellent time and task management skills
• Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multi-task with changing prioritiesAbility to interact effectively with others in a team environment
• Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Experience in Healthcare Design a plus
