Job summary

BookNook is seeking USA-based tutors to support students from home, delivering math and reading lessons using provided content. Sessions are 30 to 45 minutes for grades K–8, with most availability during 4:00 PM–7:00 PM ET on weekdays, fall through spring.

As a 1099-eligible independent contractor, you manage your schedule, attend at least 80% of booked sessions, and may earn incentives for high-demand time slots. Training and a supportive national tutor community are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in classroom teaching or tutoring with online instruction preferred.
• Deliver pre-designed math lessons and provide targeted support for students.
• Ability to build meaningful professional connections with students and provide supportive corrections.
• Reliable internet and a distraction-free home workspace meeting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-designed math and reading lessons online.
• Engage students and provide corrections in a virtual classroom.
• Maintain a flexible schedule and attend claimed sessions.
• Coordinate with the tutor community for back-up coverage when unavailable.
