Job summary

SEO Scholars Miami is seeking a Math Associate Instructor for 9th & 10th grade to co-teach a college-prep curriculum with experienced educators. The role is remote/online and part-time, with a daytime schedule 8:45-2:15 and select Saturdays, up to 10 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field, teaching credentials or experience, and comfort with Brightspace, Nearpod, GSuite, and Zoom.

Qualifications

• Teaching certification or K-12/college teaching experience.
• Own reliable laptop meeting tech requirements.
• Experience working with high school students.
• Comfortable with navigating learning systems.
• Expertise in advanced high school math.
• Eagerness to discuss historical context in math learning.

Responsibilities

• Instruction & Facilitation – Co-teach math periods; cover when needed.
• Navigate Instructional Technologies – Use Brightspace, Nearpod, GSuite, Zoom.
• Content Preparation – Review lesson plans and adjust pacing.
• Tutoring and Academic Support – Host lunch tutoring sessions.
• Classroom Culture – Be energetic, engaging, and student-focused.
• Collaboration with SEO Staff – Attend meetings and trainings; respond to messages.
• Coaching Feedback – Meet with instructional coach periodically for guidance.

Education

Bachelor's degree in content related field

Teaching certification / K-12 or higher ed teaching experience

Own reliable laptop with required tech

Experience with high school students

Familiar with learning systems

Math expertise at high school level

Eagerness to discuss historical context in math learning
