Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Maternity and Child Health (MCH) Manager to oversee maternity and pediatric care management, leading pediatric and maternity case managers, Community Health Workers, and other staff. You will coordinate member outreach, risk stratification, care planning, and linkage to resources while partnering with market leadership and clinical teams.

If you are located in NC, you may work remotely with flexibility.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted RN license.
5+ years of maternal-child health, obstetrical nursing, pediatric nursing, neonatal, case management, population health, or closely related clinical experience.
Experience working in Medicaid managed care or a similar health plan environment.
Experience supporting clinical program operations, quality improvement activities, regulatory compliance, and performance monitoring.
Knowledge of maternity/pediatric care management models, NCQA standards, state Medicaid requirements, and care coordination workflows.
MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, communicate effectively, and drive operational results.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel within territory for meetings.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical guidance for complex maternity and pediatric cases and coordinate care.
Promote completion of assessments, care plans, monitoring, and postpartum follow-up.
Ensure coordination with obstetrical, pediatric, primary care, behavioral health, and community resources.
Coach, train, and give clinical feedback to care management staff.
Monitor documentation quality through chart reviews, audits, and performance discussions.
