Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a MCH Manager to oversee maternity and pediatric care management programs, guiding teams of case managers and community health workers. The role drives risk stratification, individualized care planning, and care coordination across providers, with emphasis on regulatory compliance and quality outcomes.

You will collaborate with market leaders, providers, and clinical teams to implement initiatives, pilots, and modernization efforts, while aligning with NCQA standards

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license.
• 5+ years of maternal-child health, obstetrical nursing, pediatric nursing, neonatal, case management, population health, or related clinical experience.
• Experience working in Medicaid managed care or similar health plan environment.
• Experience supporting clinical program operations, quality improvement activities, regulatory compliance, and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of maternity/pediatric care management models, NCQA standards, state Medicaid requirements, clinical documentation expectations, and care coordination workflows.
• Intermediate MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, communicate effectively, and drive operational results.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Lead pediatric and maternity case managers, Community Health Workers, and other staff.
• Oversee outreach, assessment, risk stratification, care planning and postpartum follow-up.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and timely, complete documentation.
• Monitor caseload, staffing, productivity, member engagement and quality outcomes.
• Review program performance and drive engagement, affordability and workflow efficiency.
• Support implementation of initiatives, pilots, modernization efforts and quality priorities.
• Lead or support quality improvement projects focused on maternal and pediatric outcomes.
