Job summary

CobaltoTalent is seeking an experienced Marketing Law Attorney for a fully remote, U.S.-based role with flexible full-time or part-time options. The position targets senior-level attorneys capable of handling marketing, advertising, consumer-facing, and related commercial matters.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of specialized experience, strong drafting and counseling skills, and the ability to advise executives and in-house teams on complex marketing programs, data privacy, and technology

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-time experience in Marketing/Advertising/Consumer transactional law.
• Significant experience handling marketing, advertising, promotions, consumer-facing or commercial matters.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Strong client counseling and communication skills.
• Ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on marketing, advertising, promotions, and consumer-facing matters.
• Review advertising campaigns, claims, disclosures, DISCLAIMERS, and promotional materials.
• Advise on digital and social media marketing, email/SMS marketing, influencer programs, sponsorships, and branded content.
• Handle legal matters involving sweepstakes, contests, loyalty programs, rewards programs, and consumer promotions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate marketing agency, influencer, talent, sponsorship, production, and advertising agreements.
• Advise on websites, applications, consumer-facing terms, disclosures, and marketing technology.
• Identify legal issues involving consumer protection, privacy, intellectual property, technology, and advertising compliance.
• Draft and negotiate commercial and technology agreements.
• Advise clients on key provisions including indemnification, limitation of liability, warranties, insurance, confidentiality, IP, and data security.
• Provide practical legal advice that balances legal risk with business objectives.
• Work directly with sophisticated clients, in-house legal teams, marketing teams, technology teams, and business leaders.
