Job summary

Defense Unicorns is seeking a Marketing Content Manager to plan, create, and oversee digital content that attracts target audiences and drives growth. You will own the content calendar, manage social media on LinkedIn and X, and craft engaging content across blogs, newsletters, and thought leadership.

You will work with executives and subject-matter experts to develop compelling stories, optimize content for reach, and measure performance to continually improve engagement with our audiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in content marketing, digital marketing, editorial management, communications, journalism, or related field.
• Exceptional writer and editor with a portfolio of short- and long-form work.
• Experience managing organic social channels, especially LinkedIn and X.
• Experience producing and managing an email newsletter or lifecycle program.
• Strong storytelling, copywriting, proofreading, and fact-checking skills.
• Ability to develop editorial calendars and manage multiple projects.
• Working knowledge of SEO, AEO, content distribution, and digital marketing fundamentals.
• Familiarity with WordPress and marketing automation platforms.
• Comfort using analytics to evaluate performance and suggest improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a multi-channel content strategy aligned with priorities, campaigns, launches, and goals.
• Own editorial calendar across social media, newsletters, blogs, and thought leadership.
• Plan, produce, and distribute the company newsletter.
• Turn expert knowledge and customer outcomes into timely, relevant content.
• Create repeatable editorial processes and ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Balance campaigns with timely content on news, industry developments, and culture.
• Manage Defense Unicorns’ LinkedIn and X presence end-to-end.
• Write, edit, publish blog posts, case studies, white papers, newsletters, and site content.
• Collaborate with executives and SMEs to develop thought-leadership content.
