Job summary

The Dane County Farmers’ Market is seeking an Assistant Market Manager to support operations across its four markets year-round in Madison. You will work with the Market Director and Board to ensure smooth stall operations, enforcement of rules, and strong member relations.

This role blends office duties with market-day responsibilities, offers 30 hours per week at $19–$21 per hour, and may transition to full-time in the future. Some duties may be performed remotely when not on-site.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outside in all weather.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and Google Suite.
• Competency in Adobe Creative Suite and web page design/maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Board and staff to fulfill the mission of the DCFM.
• Oversee stall fee operations for all markets.
• Enforce market rules as outlined in By-laws and Rule Book.
• Maintain clear communication with Market Director, Board, members, and the public.
• Provide member support and office clerical assistance.
• Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies.
