Job summary

RSM US LLP, via Risk & Regulatory Consulting, seeks a Market Conduct Examiner to perform examinations of insurance companies for compliance with state statutes. This role is remote in the United States with potential travel.

You have 5+ years of insurance experience, professional designations or pursuing them, and strong analytical, communication, and project-management skills. Office software experience (TeamMate, ACL/Access, MS Office) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, accounting or finance; MBA and/or professional certification preferred.
• 5+ years insurance experience with a state/federal agency, insurer, or audit/compliance firm.
• Insurance industry experience required.
• Pursuit of professional designations such as AIE/CIE, MCM, AIRC, FLMI, CPCU, or CLU.
• Strong PC skills: Office suite and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform market conduct examinations to determine regulatory compliance.
• Review insurers’ documentation and data for compliance with statutes/regulations.
• Draft examination work papers for supervisory review.
• Prepare reports, exhibits, and supporting documentation detailing compliance.
• Analyze new or revised laws, regulations, and assess impact on insurers.
• Travel as required.
