Job summary

Welocalize seeks a Maps Quality Tester with GIS/maps experience. You’ll collaborate with the dev team to ensure top quality products shipped globally. The role emphasizes clear reporting, user-perspective critique, and strong communication while working remotely from Austin.

Ideal candidates have a background in maps, data handling, and English proficiency; bachelor’s degree preferred. This is a full-time, 12-month contract with possible extension and a pay rate of $23/hour.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using iOS and MacOS.
• Working knowledge of maps and web-based mapping products.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Experience working with data and spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with using navigation apps (Apple/Google Maps).
• Creative thinker and able to understand the product from the user’s perspective.
• Organised, self-sufficient and able to work remotely without direct supervision.
• Ability to explain technical details clearly in reports.
• Austin-based; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Geography/Cartography or related field.

Responsibilities
