Job summary

Welocalize is seeking a Maps Quality Tester with GIS or maps experience to join a leading consumer technology company. This full-time 12-month contract role is remote, based in Austin, TX, with a 10:00 AM–7:00 PM CST shift and pay rate of $23 per hour.

The tester will collaborate with the development team to deliver high-quality map applications across global target markets. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, analyzes complex data, and reports findings concisely.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using iOS and macOS (desirable).
• Working knowledge of maps and web-based mapping products.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Experience working with data and spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with using mobile devices for driving navigation (e.g. Apple Maps, Google Maps).
• Creative thinker and able to understand the product from the user''s perspective.
• Organised and autonomous, able to work remotely without direct supervision.
• Ability to explain technical details in clear, concise reports.
• Austin-based location preferred (home-based in Austin).
