Job summary

LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking a Work at Home Mandinka-English Phone Interpreter. The Mandinka Interpreter handles on-demand calls, interpreting between Mandinka and English across healthcare, government, insurance, finance, and more, all from a home office in the United States.

This is an independent contractor role with pay of $0.50–$0.65 per minute. Core duties include accurate interpretation, clear bilingual delivery, maintaining professionalism, and handling potentially high-volume

Qualifications

• Fluency in Mandinka and English is required.
• Ability to assess regional and accent differences to communicate with LEP.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills for accurate interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render concepts accurately per interpretation protocol.
• Speak clearly with proper pronunciation and polite expressions.
• Maintain professionalism and calm during sessions, including emergency calls.
• Remain punctual and available during work hours.
• Follow client instructions to ensure LEP interactions meet expectations.
• Understand protocols across industries like Medical, Insurance, Finance, Law.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment.
• Handle highly emotional or stressful calls with possible extended durations.
