Job summary

Mosaic is seeking a Development Officer to lead our major gifts program, identifying, cultivating, and soliciting gifts to fund meaningful lives in a caring community. You will shape strategy and coordinate with the VP of Development.

Location is remote with support for Omaha and surrounding areas; strong preference for Omaha-based candidates. Five years of fundraising experience and a bachelor’s degree are required, with CFRE/CAP preferred and travel to meet donors.

Qualifications

• Five years of direct fundraising experience with a track record of closing current and deferred gifts.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Deep knowledge of fundraising trends and estate planning.
• Ability to ask for and close large gifts, conduct presentations for large audiences, and travel extensively to meet donors.
• CFRE or CAP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Major Gift Strategy: Advance fundraising by securing current and deferred major gifts.
• Build Relationships: Implement donor and prospect plans with the VP of Development.
• Partner for Success: Act as a strategic partner to locations for sustainable fundraising plans.
• Maintain Excellence: Keep accurate electronic records and identify opportunities for current and deferred giving.
