Job summary

The OS Platform Engineer I at Huntington National Bank collaborates with Mainframe teams to install, configure, and maintain z/OS environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

You will work with ISVs to customize solutions and participate in an on-call rotation, contributing to an agile team while building strong mainframe skills with CICS, Db2 for z/OS, and MQ for z/OS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of related technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides 24X7 on-call in team rotation after trained.
• Work independently and collaboratively in an agile team environment.
• Maintain knowledge of best practices in systems administration and business continuity.
• Prioritize multiple tasks in a team environment.
• Resolve systems and application problems in coordination with other Mainframe Engineers and users.
• Learn plans and procedures for disaster/recovery and contingency planning.
• Understand z/OS core concepts, including CICS for z/OS, Db2 for z/OS, MQ for z/OS and related tools such as ISPF, SMF, JES, JCL.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
