Job summary

Nationwide Economics seeks an Economics Specialist to support macroeconomic research, forecasting, industry analysis, and data-driven communication across the investment team.

You will build and improve economic models, use econometrics and programming to explain data, and prepare concise analyses for investment professionals and partners. The role offers remote work options with opportunities to engage senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, data science, or related field. Graduate degree preferred.
• Typically three or more years of related business experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with economic data and forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Provide research assistance with economic charts and tables for forecasts and analyses.
• Conduct research on economic data and trends to support forecasts.
• Gathers, analyzes, monitors, and disseminates information on housing, agriculture, autos, manufacturing, etc.
• Create communications to distribute research findings to internal units and partners.
• Assist in creating content for Nationwide Economics publications and podcasts.
