Job summary

Cellanome is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to design and optimize algorithms for data analysis and workflow automation. You will collaborate with instrument, assay, and software teams and may work from our offices in San Diego or Foster City with potential for remote work.

The role requires strong Python, AI/ML knowledge, and experience deploying algorithms on edge devices and GPUs. You will contribute to a growing startup culture that rewards innovation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical field with relevant experience.
• 5+ years experience in algorithms, optimization, automation, sensing, data analysis, or image processing.
• Strong production-quality Python coding and documentation.
• Experience with AI/ML workflows and image analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize algorithms for workflow automation, including computer vision components.
• Develop signal-processing and image-analysis algorithms using classical and AI/ML methods.
• Perform system-level analysis, simulation, and validation to meet product requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams to integrate algorithms.
• Optimize algorithms for edge devices, GPUs, and HPC with latency/memory considerations.
• Create documentation, validation reports, and performance metrics.
