Job summary

Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) seeks a Fiscal Analyst 4 to serve as a Subject Matter Expert on the Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC) program. You will independently manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations while ensuring GAAP/SAAM compliance.

You will monitor MAC contracts, prepare monthly accruals, and provide expert guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of learning and growing in a complex financial environment.
• Ability to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders with professional communication.
• Strong understanding of Chart of Accounts and account coding.
• Experience with general ledger reconciliations and GAAP/SAAM guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform AP/AR and accrual accounting for MAC program.
• Review MAC invoices for accuracy and compliance with state/federal rules.
• Review MAC contracts to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Prepare monthly accruals for MAC contracts.
• Process cash receipts with correct funding source coding.
• Analyze and reconcile GL accounts and contract logs; report irregularities.
• Provide guidance on new MAC accounting processes to stakeholders.
