Consulting for Human Services is seeking a Principal Consultant - Mergers & Acquisitions to lead and execute complex M&A engagements for nonprofit and mission-driven organizations. The role is primarily client-facing, coordinating cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment on timelines, deliverables, and best practices.

The leader will translate diligence work into clear, actionable recommendations and support post-transaction integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Healthcare, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Principal Consultant with exposure to mergers and acquisitions.
• 5+ years in M&A within Human Services, Healthcare, or corporate development.
• 5+ years in leadership roles overseeing cross-functional teams and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex M&A engagements for nonprofit and mission-driven human services organizations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and client executive stakeholders across operational, financial, regulatory, and organizational workstreams.
• Serve as primary CFHS contact with client leadership, ensuring alignment on requests, timelines, and deliverables.
• Translate diligence outputs into actionable, executive-ready recommendations and materials.
• Develop repeatable processes, tools, and frameworks to improve efficiency and quality.
• Mentor junior consultants and project managers on methodology and delivery standards.
• Maintain billable utilization while managing internal responsibilities and engagement scope.
