Job summary

Rugby Holdings LLC is seeking a Procurement Specialist. This primarily remote role covers sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of hardwood, plywood, lumber and architectural building products on the East Coast.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in supply chain or related fields, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with procurement software. Occasional travel to branches may be required. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or related field.
• Proven procurement experience in hardwood, plywood, lumber and architectural building products.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and establish supplier relationships; negotiate terms.
• Develop purchasing strategies for lumber/building materials; analyze market trends.
• Place orders, monitor inventory, ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Monitor costs; develop strategies to reduce expenses.
• Coordinate with warehouses to maintain stock and forecast demand.
• Maintain records; report procurement costs and performance.
• Ensure purchasing complies with policies and regulations.
