Job summary

Symbria Rx Services seeks a Quality Assurance Technician to support the QAPI program across pharmacy locations. You will ensure timely quality event documentation, classifications, and trend analysis to drive improvement.

Ideal candidates have a pharmacy technician background, 2+ years healthcare ops experience, and strong MS Office skills. The role requires teamwork with multiple departments and on-site collaboration across licensed states.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience in pharmacy technician or healthcare operations.
• Pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or xcPT).
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and customer service.
• Position requires teamwork across multiple departments/locations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Multi-site LTC pharmacy operations experience is a plus.
• Experience with quality improvement, QAPI, or CQI programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely entry of all quality events per defined QAPI timelines.
• Review quality event submissions for proper classification and completeness.
• Monitor missing or delayed quality event entries and follow up.
• Identify trends, risk areas, and discrepancies; escalate as needed.
• Attend monthly QAPI and QAPI Committee meetings; prepare EOS-format agendas and notes.
• Support QAPI reporting, dashboards, and trend analysis.
• Promote compliance with QAPI policies and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and Symbria legal counsel when required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
