Job summary

Jefferson City Medical Group is looking for a full-time Prior Authorization Specialist. This remote position requires efficiency in prior authorization for patients and exceptional organizational skills.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, experience in an acute care setting, and knowledge of managed care contracts. Benefits include health insurance, employer-paid disability, and generous PTO policy starting at 148 hours annually.

Qualifications

• 1 year in an acute care setting; prefer an additional 1 year in ambulatory care.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in managed care or medical office environment.
• Computer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Complete prior authorization and patient assistance reference encounters efficiently.
• Provide nursing care following the Missouri Licensed Practical Nurse Practice Act.
• Ensure effective functioning of clinic processes.
