MedWatch, LLC is seeking a Case Manager Assistant to support the RN Case Manager from a remote home-based setting. The role requires an active LPN license and basic computer skills, with 5 years of varied clinical experience preferred.

You will perform case management functions under direct supervision, coordinate with payers, providers, and families, and help maintain care plans that meet patient needs and payer requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with active, unrestricted license.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Experience not mandatory but 5 years varied clinical experience preferred, or 3 years in a specialty field.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of the RN Case Manager.
• Review medical data to update case management plan.
• Contact payer to understand benefit constraints.
• Coordinate with providers and vendors to verify medical necessity.
• Arrange care to meet patient needs and physician orders.
• Explore alternative treatments with payer cost-benefit analysis when needed.
• Utilize community resources to conserve benefit dollars.
• Maintain case notes and prepare payer reports.
• Maintain billing in system.
• Stay in contact with providers and patients through the continuum of care.
• Negotiate with providers to maximize benefits; make referrals.
• Address non-medical issues affecting safety/welfare; notify authorities if needed.
• Consult with Case Manager regularly; report complaints.
• Adhere to company policies and Quality Management Program.
