ACS Professional Staffing supports a multidisciplinary engineering firm seeking a qualified Low Voltage Systems Designer in the United States (Washington). The role emphasizes designing fire alarm, lighting control, access control, intrusion, video, intercom, and cabling systems for complex facilities, with remote work strongly preferred and monthly travel to project sites.

Qualifications

5+ years of low-voltage design experience in a engineering environment.
Experience writing and editing technical specifications.
Knowledge of TIA-568, TIA-569, TIA-607, NFPA 72, NEC 7-8, BICSI methods.
Willingness to travel to project sites (Washington) on a monthly basis.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

Design structured cabling systems and pathways for new/construction and renovation projects.
Coordinate low-voltage systems (fire alarm, lighting, access control, video, intercom) with other disciplines.
Survey existing facilities, document conditions, and verify as-built information.
Edit Division 27/28 specs and adapt to project standards.
Create Bluebeam markups/redlines and coordinate with drafter for Revit drawings.
Support construction administration and respond to RFIs.
