Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking an entry-level Loss Mitigation Underwriter I to support underwriting Loan Modifications from a remote home office. You will make sound underwriting decisions while following Treasury, Company and Investor guidelines under general supervision.

This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of underwriting loss mitigation experience and a high school diploma. The target pay range is $23.00-$26.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for

Qualificações

• 1 to 2 years of underwriting loss mitigation experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform a thorough analysis to ensure loan quality and guideline compliance.
• Conduct Verification of Income (VOI).
• Calculate front and back-end debt to income ratio.
• Verify occupancy, hardship and income.
• Apply payment waterfall to determine workout eligibility (repayment plan, forbearance, modification or liquidation).
• Identify liquid assets held by borrower, if applicable.
• Determine and communicate needed conditions to document the file (reason for default letter, updated pay stubs, bankruptcy papers, etc.).
• Complete system tasks to maintain Treasury, Company and Investor guidelines.
• Document final decision and update system of record.
