Job summary

D&G Solutions is seeking a Senior Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) to support Department of Defense movement and distribution operations based at Scott AFB, IL. The role applies advanced analytics, mathematical modeling, and logistics expertise to optimize joint force movement across multiple transportation modes.

The candidate will develop models, perform optimization and simulation, and present decision-support products to senior leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in analytical field relevant to ORSA; 5+ years in operations research, logistics analysis, military planning, or related field.
  • Experience developing and applying analytical models to complex operational problems.
  • Ability to analyze large and complex data sets and communicate results to senior leaders.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze movement requirements, transportation capacity, throughput, routing, and distribution constraints.
  • Develop analytical models to evaluate movements across air, surface, rail, maritime, and multimodal transportation networks.
  • Conduct network optimization, simulation, scenario analysis, and what-if assessments.
  • Evaluate the ability of the transportation network to deliver required supplies within operational timelines.
  • Identify bottlenecks, capacity limitations, vulnerabilities, and single points of failure.
  • Analyze distribution under contested and degraded operating conditions.
  • Evaluate the effects of transportation disruption, infrastructure loss, port denial, route disruption, and constrained transportation capacity.
  • Develop alternative courses of action to improve distribution resiliency.
  • Integrate data from logistics, transportation, and operational systems.
  • Identify data quality issues and develop decision-quality analytical data sets.
  • Provide quantitative analysis and recommendations to senior military and government leaders.
  • Develop executive-level briefings, analytical assessments, dashboards, and decision-support products.
  • Support exercises, operational planning, requirements analysis, and emerging movement studies.

D&G Solutions is seeking a Senior Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) to support Department of Defense movement and distribution operations. This role applies operations research, mathematical modeling, data analytics, optimization, simulation, and logistics expertise to help the Joint Force improve the movement of military supplies across the strategic and theater distribution network.

This position is ideal for an experienced analyst who understands both military logistics and advanced analytical methods and wants to apply those skills to some of the Department of Defense's most challenging contested logistics problems.

What You Will Do
  • Analyze movement requirements, transportation capacity, throughput, routing, and distribution constraints.

What We Are Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Logistics, or a related analytical discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in operations research, logistics analysis, transportation analysis, military planning, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and applying analytical models to complex operational problems.
  • Experience analyzing large and complex data sets.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical results to senior leaders.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a required DoD Top Secret security clearance.
