Job summary

Medstar Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for a full-time remote position. Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
• An independent LMHC license recognized by the state of Massachusetts.
• Demonstrable ability to maintain accurate clinical records and produce related reports efficiently.
• Strong collaborative skills for working effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to express complex ideas effectively.
• Sound clinical judgment and the ability to make independent decisions based on professional expertise.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and collaborate in treatment planning that includes developing and implementing pre-crisis and crisis intervention plans, behavioral guidelines, and medication treatment plans.
• Document all clinical interactions and treatment plans in a timely manner, adhering to regulatory standards and ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools to assess patient needs, ensuring a tailored approach to mental health care.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement positive behavior support plans, contributing to comprehensive care strategies.
• Engage in licensing and accreditation processes, actively participating in required trainings and meetings to maintain high standards of practice.
• Act as a liaison to community partners, state agencies, and relevant service systems, fostering collaborations that benefit our clients.
• Maintain open lines of communication to enhance service delivery and align with organizational objectives.
• Develop professional relationships with local, state, federal, and private agencies to promote programs and secure potential funding sources.
• Pursue continual personal and professional growth, attending conferences and participating in community events relevant to behavioral health.
• Promote the agency's mission, values, and philosophies in all interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support the overall effectiveness of the clinic.
