Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, MFT, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Hold a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
• Deep understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based modalities.
• Experience in culturally responsive therapy with diverse populations.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and ability to remain composed.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and rapport-building.
• Proficient with EHR systems and related software.
• Commitment to ethical boundaries and client confidentiality.
• Collaborative work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Culturally Sensitive Assessments: Conduct thorough mental health assessments considering cultural backgrounds.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Implement CBT or DBT and tailor techniques to patients.
• Therapy Sessions: Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy.
• Collaboration: Work with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals.
• Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support during crises with de-escalation techniques.
• Education and Resource Sharing: Inform patients and families about mental health resources.
• Documentation: Maintain rigorous EHR documentation per standards.
• Team Participation: Engage in team meetings and cultural competency trainings.
