Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a software engineer to help modernize platforms with AI-native capabilities. You will be embedded with solution teams to co-build LLM-powered features, pair with a senior architect, and work with PMs and platform teams to deliver reusable services.

3+ years in software engineering, backend in .NET/Java with Python familiarity, and hands-on LLM experience are required. Remote work is supported; W2 pay in a flexible, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Backend experience with .NET or Java and Python familiarity.
• Hands-on delivery of LLM-powered features (RAG, tool-calling, prompts).
• Experience with Azure or comparable cloud, REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD.
• Frontend exposure with React, Angular, or TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship LLM-powered features including RAG pipelines, tool-calling agents, multi-step workflows, and prompt frameworks.
• Integrate solutions with the AI middleware platform and contribute reusable capabilities.
• Implement evaluation and testing for AI outputs with test sets and quality gates.
• Develop APIs, backend services, integrations, and UI components for AI features.
• Add observability, logging, and cost tracking to deployed AI systems and remediate issues.
• Collaborate with solution team engineers to enable independent feature development.
• Document designs, decisions, and lessons to accelerate future teams.
