Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a remote senior software engineer to co-build AI-powered features in a two-person pod. You will collaborate with senior AI Solutions Architect, PMs, and platform teams to deliver reusable capabilities and production-ready services.

Role focuses on building LLM-driven features, RAG pipelines, tool-calling, and robust evaluations in a fast-paced environment. Flexible W2 hourly engagement in the US market.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering.
• Backend experience in .NET or Java with working familiarity in Python.
• Hands-on experience delivering LLM-powered features such as RAG, tool calling, prompt engineering, and structured outputs.
• Experience with Azure or comparable cloud, REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD.
• Comfortable with a modern frontend such as React, Angular, or TypeScript.
• Demonstrated ability to learn a new codebase and business in 6–8 weeks.
• Preferred: Azure OpenAI, Terraform, vector DBs, eval frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship LLM-powered features including RAG pipelines and tool-calling agents.
• Integrate solutions with the AI middleware platform and contribute reusable capabilities.
• Implement evaluation and testing for AI outputs with test sets and quality gates.
• Develop APIs, backend services, integrations, and UI components for AI features.
• Add observability, logging, and cost tracking to deployed AI systems.
• Pair with solution team engineers to enable independent feature development.
• Document designs, decisions, and lessons for future teams.
