Job summary

Bolder Apps is seeking a mid-senior LLM Application Engineer to design, ship, and harden production AI pipelines for client products. This remote monthly retainer role focuses on robust extraction, multimodal prompts, and cost-aware optimization.

You'll own end-to-end pipelines, implement schema-driven outputs, and collaborate with mobile QA and backend teams on Firebase/GCP stacks. Strong Gemini and at least one other major LLM are required; you will mentor others and drive production quality.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping LLM apps to real users.
• Strong background in multimodal prompts and structured outputs.
• Ability to design schema-aligned outputs and robust evals.

Responsibilities

• Own production LLM pipelines end to end (ingestion, multimodal model calls, structured records, storage).
• Design prompt and schema strategies for consistent, product-ready results.
• Build classification and filtering layers on top of extraction (taxonomy mapping, deduplication).
• Define and run evaluation harnesses (golden sets, regression suites, online metrics).
• Hit quality targets with precision gates and production SLAs.
• Optimize token usage, model tiering, caching, and batching to control costs and latency.
• Harden reliability for long-running async jobs and safe production deploys.
• Collaborate with Flutter/mobile and QA on field contracts and incident debugging.
• Document architecture and runbooks for shared ownership.
• Stay current on Gemini and peer LLM APIs; suggest swaps or fallbacks.
