Wood, Smith, Henning & Berman LLP seeks a paralegal for our national litigation practice based in Las Vegas. The role supports nationwide cases as part of a pooled team, with pre-trial preparation, record organization, and discovery work.

Ideal candidates hold a paralegal certificate, are highly organized, and can work 40 hours weekly. Flexible to Work From Home with in-office presence for trial prep as needed; must live in the greater Las Vegas area.

Qualifications

• Must possess a paralegal certificate.
• Professional and pleasant demeanor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to process and follow up on Subpoenas for medical, employment, worker's comp, disability, taxes, educational, union records.
• Ability to communicate with experts and prepare material for expert witness review.
• Ability to respond timely and effectively in a team atmosphere.
• Ability to multi-task independently and manage multiple demands.
• High level of computer competency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support our national litigation practice in case management including pre-trial preparation, organizing and analyzing records, summarizing medical records, depositions, employment records, etc.
• Provide assistance with discovery work up for cases.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation including exhibits and witness materials.
• Assemble chronologies of key documents and review/organize document productions by opposing parties.
• Redact claim files, medical records, police reports, emails, etc.
• Prepare records and exhibits for expert witness review.
