Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Litigation Consultant | Commercial Bodily Injury to address high-end cases with serious injuries, complex coverage scenarios, and legal inquiries or disputes. You will develop strategies to bring cases to satisfactory resolutions and coordinate with clients and counsel.

The role requires deep claims management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities across investigations, settlements, and mediations.

Qualifications

• Five years of claims management experience with knowledge of auto policies, coverage, laws.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; professional certification helpful.
• Secure and maintain state adjusting licenses as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and acts on reports; responds to inquiries; seeks early resolution.
• Handles high end cases with serious injuries and complex coverage scenarios.
• Responds to decisions or court orders; creates action plans and authorizes examinations.
• Identifies cases for settlements or redemptions.
• Gathers documents and coordinates with client designees.
• Coordinates with local counsel; monitors performance.
• Responds to plaintiff's counsel or client requests.
• Identifies issues and formulates defense strategy.
• Establishes accrued liability and approves admin expenses.
• Identifies subrogation opportunities and manages process.
• Attends mediations, trials, arbitrations or hearings as needed.
• Works with partners to support early return-to-work.
