Confidential Employer is seeking a licensed California attorney to join a respected litigation team focused on public entity defense across California. This remote-first role allows work from home while remaining available for hearings in the Bay Area.

You will manage a growing caseload, conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, attend hearings and depositions, and collaborate with senior attorneys in a mentorship‑oriented environment with strong benefits and a balanced billable

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) required.
• Active California Bar license required.
• 1+ year of litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Must reside in or relocate to the California Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload with increasing independence.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to achieve outstanding client outcomes.
• Communicate with clients regarding litigation strategy, case developments, and recommendations.
• Maintain organized case files while meeting litigation deadlines.
