Job summary

Warner Norcross + Judd LLP seeks a Litigation Associate to join our Detroit and Grand Rapids offices. Ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, managing discovery, and participating in depositions and court proceedings.

Responsibilities include handling all phases of litigation, drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, managing discovery, and communicating with clients and courts.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of hands-on litigation experience.
• J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed or willing to become licensed in Michigan.
• Strong research, legal writing, oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of litigation from initiation through trial and appeal.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic case analysis.
• Manage discovery including document review, depositions, and expert coordination.
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
