Job summary

Really Great Reading is seeking a Professional Services Consultant to deliver high-quality literacy-focused training across district partnerships. You will coordinate, tailor, and sustain professional learning for educators and leaders, with frequent in-person engagements and travel within the DMV area.

The role emphasizes applying adult-learning principles, translating theory into classroom practice, and partnering with districts to achieve implementation goals.

Qualifications

• Must reside in the DMV area within 30 minutes of Prince George's County, MD.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Literacy, or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience in professional development, training, instructional coaching, or EdU services.
• Strong knowledge of literacy instruction, structured literacy, and the Science of Reading.
• Experience facilitating professional learning for educators and district leaders, virtually and in person.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% for in-person training and district partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training schedules with district contacts and internal teams.
• Deliver engaging virtual and in-person professional development for educators and staff.
• Adapt training content to audience needs and district goals.
• Provide follow-up resources, coaching, and instructional support.
• Collaborate with regional managers to align learning with implementation plans.
• Track participation, feedback, and outcomes to improve training effectiveness.
