Job summary

MatchPoint Solutions is seeking a Linux & Storage Automation Engineer with strong experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration, Ansible automation, storage operations, and infrastructure automation.

This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining repeatable automation workflows that support server build-outs, configuration management, patching, remediation, storage administration, and operational efficiency within production environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Ansible and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform experience in production environments.
• Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration background including package and repository management, systemd, and kernel/boot troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting for Linux automation tasks.
• Experience with storage and filesystem administration, including disk remediation and health checks.
• General knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms and resource lifecycle management.
• Understanding of CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts with version-controlled infrastructure and automated pipelines.
• Understanding of database integration, data migration concepts, and identity and access management principles.
• Experience integrating automation with monitoring, scheduling, security controls, and change management processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Ansible roles, playbooks, and templates to automate server provisioning, patching, remediation, and maintenance.
• Administer and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, including package/repository management and kernel/boot issues.
• Develop Bash scripts and automation workflows to streamline Linux administration and storage operations.
• Support storage and filesystem administration including disk remediation and capacity management.
• Build automation for cloud-hosted server lifecycle activities (AWS/Azure) as part of patching and maintenance workflows.
• Apply CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code principles to manage infrastructure and configuration through code and pipelines.
• Develop workflows supporting database integration, data migration, and identity/access management requirements.
• Integrate automation with monitoring, scheduling, security controls, and change management processes.
