Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Linux Performance Engineer to optimize low-level system performance for large-scale operations. You will help maximize throughput and minimize latency across kernel, CPU, and I/O subsystems.

You will analyze kernel internals, profile with eBPF and perf, and tune parameters to support high-performance workloads, collaborating with global teams. Remote work with USD compensation and flexible hours offered.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or Performance Engineering.
Proven expertise in low-level Linux performance tuning across kernel, CPU, and I/O subsystems.
Proficiency in C/C++ and deep understanding of Linux kernel internals.
Hands-on experience with profiling tools such as eBPF, perf, and CPU profiling suites like Nsight or VTune.

Responsibilities

Conduct deep-dive performance analysis across kernel, CPU, memory, and I/O subsystems.
Utilize profiling tools like eBPF and perf to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
Optimize kernel parameters and system configurations for high-performance workloads.
Profile CPU execution and resource utilization to improve efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering teams to provide architectural guidance on tuning and scalability.
