Cornelis Networks is seeking an elite Associate Linux Kernel Engineer to join our kernel development team. This remote-first role targets systems-first thinkers who thrive at the hardware-software intersection and contribute to our high-performance AI/HPC networking fabric.

You will work on Linux device driver features, optimization, and test plans, while learning from a fast-paced startup environment that values results over hours and emphasizes disciplined delivery.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in CS/CE or related; Master’s/PhD is a plus.
• Kernel Proficiency: At least 6 months of hands-on Linux/FreeBSD kernel dev work.
• Passion for Architecture: Deep curiosity about PCIe, CPU caches, and high-speed fabric.
• AI-Assisted Skillset: Proficient using AI tools to aid coding, testing, and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Develop software feature/test cases for Linux device driver and networking device.
• Learn chip/NIC and switch documents; write design docs and test plans.
• Profile and optimize performance for HPC/AI/Storage networking fabric.
• Analyze problems and implement customer/internal solutions.
• Code review and strengthen software quality with the team.
